Golden Touch Awards

The Golden Touch Awards were revived after a decade-long absence at the urging of Hillview Principal Tim O'Donohue.  These awards recognize teachers and staff from Tustin Unified High Schools who are making a difference in the lives of students and the school community.  This program offers a unique opportunity for students to directly nominate staff who have made a positive impact.  Principals review all applications and select one staff member and one teacher from their campus for the awards.

Tustin Public Schools Foundation hosted the 2023 return of the Golden Touch Awards at the Clifton Miller Community Center with a breakfast sponsored by SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union on December 15.  This year more than 275 nominations were received from students across all six high schools and the honorees were recognized in front of family, colleagues, TUSD administrators, and TPSF staff and board.

Congratulations to our winners!

Honestly, for a staff member, this is the best award to be given because it comes from the students.  For about 7 years I had wanted to bring the program back, and TPSF made it a reality.
