For the past 2 years, TPSF offered after-school music classes for 4th and 5th grades students through a pilot project.  Now that the pilot program has ended, TPSF is working with TUSD staff to determine the most effective way to implement TPSF's resources.

Although TPSF will not operate after-school music classes during the 2011-12 school year, the Foundation remains committed to music education and will be providing some grants to schools and offering concerts and outreach to encourage an interest in music.

However, one of our music teachers from last year, Kat Giesler, is planning to teach beginning band and orchestra. 

On Monday, October 17, she will hold a parent information night at Myford Elementary at 6:30 in the evening.

She will offer Beginning Band and Beginning Orchestra (Tuesdays at Pioneer at 4:15 and 5:15, and on Wednesdays at Orchard Hills at 4:15 and 5:15)  Advanced Orchestra is offered at Pioneer on Thursdays at 4:15.

Classes begin on October 25, 26, and 27.
